Ludovico Brea was influenced by Lombard and Genoese contemporaries, but also by Netherlandish artists (see the figure of the female donor). He collaborated with such artists as Corrada d’Alemagna, Foppa, Fasolo, Barbagelata, Bacchi, etc. Literature: Claire-Lise Schwok, Louis Brea, Monographie und Werksverzeichnis / monografia, Paris 2005. Compare the reproductions of similar works, pp. 57, 124, 125, 167. Provenance: Viennese private collection.
